Network Architect (21987)

As a permanent contractor your role will consist mostly of designing new solutions to fulfill customer requirements and to execute functionality testing and implementation of these developed solutions. - design and develop deployment of a software-defined network architecture for the global compute platform

- defining the solution and the implementation costs

- provide detailed design solutions and support function for SD-WAN, SD-LAN

- design specification of network components and participate in peer review of other platform components

- architect APIs to expose platform services to end users

- troubleshoot network performance issues, identify root cause and recommend solutions

- agile methodologies through all phases

- 3-5 years of experience in the field

- knowledge of WAN technologies including BGP and other routing protocols, MPLS, tunneling, QoS, and SD-WAN technology

- core Network technologies (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, etc.)

- understanding of SDN architecture and experience with open source or commercial SDN controllers

- scripting, preferably Shell (Bash) and Python

- service orchestration

- understanding of VLAN and tunneling technologies such as VXLAN, GRE

- experience with virtualization, VPNs, NFV and APIs

- knowledge of DevOps processes and automation

- understanding of network management tools such as snmp, traps, and syslog
