As a permanent contractor you will design and implement a Data Lake within AWS to optimize performance and cost and with your skilled colleagues you will be responsible for developing strategy and technology solutions for Data Management. About the role
- design and implement a Data Lake within AWS to optimize performance and cost
- developing strategy and technology solutions for Data Management used by Solar Digital on AWS
- drive creative solutions for both data architecture and implementation of large-scale data environments for remote monitoring systems
- support of predictive analytics, machine learning, data visualization, analysis, and interrogation

Your ideal profile
- 2 years of experience in Cloud Solution design, installation, and configuration in AWS
- 4 years of experience designing, developing and maintaining databases for complex software ecosystems
- strong SQL skills
- solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring data systems/databases to the cloud
- experience with S3, AWS Athena, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Glue, AWS RedShift, AWS ElasticCache, AWS EMR, AWS Kinesis, AWS MQ or Amazon SNS, SWF services
- experience with AWS data lake cost optimization
- experience with ideally Oracle and MS SQL or PostreSQL, NoSQL
- Airflow administration or similar ETL environment
- experience building and deploying applications on the AWS platform, including Lambda, EC2
- Subversion, Git, CVS or other source code management tools
- Virtual environments (VMWARE) and Cloud-based systems (AWS)
- fluent English

- Agile software methodology – SCRUM
- Jenkins or Hudson tools
- design Patterns
- CI/CD for database environments
- experience working with IoT, data streams, and time-series data
- Python or .Net experience
- Timescale extension experience
