Senior Oracle DBA (43030)

Join a fully remote, part-time opportunity as a Senior Oracle DBA. You will focus on advanced Oracle database support, SQL performance troubleshooting, execution plan analysis, query optimization and database performance improvements. The role involves incident and problem management, user and access management, cooperation with internal support teams and external vendors, as well as working with Jira, Confluence, Zabbix and Grafana. We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA with strong analytical skills, hands-on SQL tuning expertise and a proactive approach to production support.

🚀 Project
- provide senior L3 support for Oracle database-related issues
- analyse SQL performance issues and identify root causes
- support SQL tuning and provide recommendations for query optimization
- analyse execution plans and database performance bottlenecks
- recommend index improvements and database-level optimization steps
- support user management and access-related database activities
- investigate database incidents and problem tickets
- participate in incident and problem management processes
- cooperate with the internal System Support team and external database vendor
- support planned database and infrastructure activities from a technical advisory perspective
- participate in database-related project support activities
- work with Jira tickets and maintain proper incident/problem documentation
- update technical and operational documentation in Confluence
- monitor database-related alerts and cooperate on issue resolution
- communicate clearly during incidents, escalations and operational reviews

🎯 Skills
- strong senior-level experience as an Oracle DBA
- strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL performance troubleshooting
- experience with SQL tuning, execution plan analysis and performance optimization
- ability to identify database performance bottlenecks and propose practical improvements
- experience with index analysis and index design recommendations
- experience with Oracle user management and access management
- solid understanding of database operations and L3 support processes
- experience with incident management and problem management
- ability to work with SLA-based support and structured operational processes
- experience with Jira and Confluence
- experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana
- strong communication skills and ability to cooperate with internal teams and vendors
- independent, reliable and proactive approach to production support
- English at C1 level
