Aa an ICT Engineer you will be responsible for administration and optimization of MariaDB database environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Your role will include database design, installations, upgrades, migrations, and implementing backup and recovery strategies including PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery). You will monitor performance, tune queries and configurations, and troubleshoot complex issues. You should have at least 3 years of experience with MariaDB or MySQL, strong SQL knowledge, and Linux fundamentals. Experience with replication and HA/cluster setups is required. Analytical thinking, teamwork, and willingness to participate in on-call duties are essential.

🚀 Project
- administration, operation, and maintenance of MariaDB database environments
- design, implementation, and optimization of MariaDB architectures
- planning and executing installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching of MariaDB instances
- monitoring database performance and tuning queries, indexes, and configurations
- implementing and maintaining backup & recovery strategies, including PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery)
- troubleshooting database issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing long-term fixes
- ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of MariaDB systems
- managing replication setups (master-slave, GTID, semi-sync, etc.)
- supporting high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) environments (e.g., Galera Cluster, MaxScale)
- creating and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
- collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams
- ensuring compliance with security policies, audit standards, and general governance requirements
- contributing to automation initiatives and continuous service improvements
