DevOps Engineer (43894)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for a long-term infrastructure project in Vienna. You will maintain Linux systems, automate infrastructure, manage middleware and support CI/CD and containers for critical eHealth applications.

🚀 Project
- maintain and optimize Unix and Linux server environments and storage infrastructure
- develop and execute infrastructure automation using Bash, ksh, Perl, JavaScript and Python
- install, configure, deploy and manage middleware including JBoss, Tomcat and Apache
- monitor and troubleshoot logical network communication using tools such as Wireshark
- build, manage and scale CI/CD pipelines and container environments
- support continuous operation and security compliance for critical eHealth applications
- track issues and document system configurations in Jira and Confluence

🎯 Skills
- at least three years of practical Unix or Linux administration experience
- at least three years of network analysis and troubleshooting with tools such as Wireshark
- at least three years of scripting with Bash, ksh, Perl, JavaScript or Python
- at least three years of middleware provisioning with JBoss, Tomcat or Apache
- Jira, Confluence and automation tools such as Rundeck, Docker, Puppet, Chef or CFEngine
- experience in the storage sector
- German at C1 level

💡 Nice to have
- experience with open-source communities and Continuous Integration projects
- relational and NoSQL databases
- VMware, KVM or Xen virtualization
- knowledge of the Austrian social security system or eHealth architecture
- Linux certifications such as LPIC-1 or LPIC-2
