About the project: 


The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Support Analyst’s role is to work reactively to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner by providing 1st and 2nd line support to user’s ERP queries to resolution, often involving data manipulation with SQL, ERPs’ workflows and macros.


What will you be working on:


- Ensuring 1st line ERP support is met in a timely manner for the region via the helpdesk system

- Passing unresolved tickets to 2nd line support as required

- Documenting training materials and knowledgebase articles for repeating issues

- Writing and modifying user and management reports in SSRS and Microsoft Excel

- Creating and modifying SQL maintenance backup jobs, ERPs’ workflows, macros and change management documentation

- Creating ERP users, maintaining their roles and security

- Training for new starters and existing users alike

- Creating test/play databases from live databases and restoring databases as required

- Keeping the ERP software up to date and in compliance with regular program updates from the vendor

- Assisting both the Regional ERP Manager and Regional IS Manager in global and regional projects


What you need to know:


- University degree in computer science or computer technology and/or 2-3 years’ experience in a similar ERP or SQL related support role

- Strong 1st and 2nd line support experience in a ERP and SQL environment

- Proven analytical troubleshooting experience with any ERP or database related product

- Understanding of the typical ERP business process, for example, customer order creation to shipping and finally invoicing and payment collection

- Understanding of table relationships and database principles such as Stored Procedures (SP’s) and Triggers

- Experience of report writing ideally with SSRS but any reporting writing program will suffice

- Financial and business understanding would be desirable

- Excellent English language both written and oral

- Willingness to work out of business hours as required. We try and keep this to a minimum but it’s the nature of the role and some work must be completed out of business hours

- Willingness to travel overseas, up to 10 days per year

- Ability to conduct research into ERP and SQL issues and products as required

- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

- Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

- Strong customer service orientation

- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
