Software Engineer (43966)

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop banking and pension applications using Java, Spring and Azure. You will improve backend services, design APIs and use AI tools to accelerate development. Several years of software engineering experience, SQL, frontend technologies, CI/CD and German C1 are required.

🚀 Project
- develop, enhance and maintain Java and Spring applications in an Azure environment
- optimise core backend modules and services for reliability, maintainability, performance and scalability
- use AI technologies such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and MCPs throughout development and prototyping
- design APIs, interfaces and event schemas
- automate integration, testing and deployment processes
- analyse business requirements and support Product Owners by clarifying system capabilities and technical constraints
- collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers and DevOps specialists in an international agile team

🎯 Skills
- several years of software development experience with in-depth Java, Spring / Spring Boot, SQL, REST and Maven knowledge
- experience with React, Angular or comparable modern frontend frameworks
- experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub
- practical cloud experience, particularly Microsoft Azure
- experience in finance and core banking
- ability to use AI tools to accelerate software delivery
- excellent German at C1 level
- willingness to base business operations in Austria, including local tax and social-security arrangements, if on-site services in Vienna are required
