- maintaining and evolving a legacy C++ environment without affecting its numerical behavior
- translating EUROCONTROL strategic goals into concrete deliveries and roadmap
- leading architectural evolution of the system (e.g., towards modern web-based platforms)
🎯 Skills
- completed university degree (Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics)
- English at C1 level (written and spoken), ability to write technical and scientific documentation
- min. 3 years of experience in ATM Surveillance domain (real surveillance domain, not general aviation/software)
- experience with reverse engineering of legacy C++ systems
- experience with Software Build Management and CI/CD automation in Jenkins for C++ applications (compilation, testing)
💡 Nice to have
- PhD in relevant field (Computer Science / Engineering – surveillance data processing, multi-sensor fusion, trajectory analysis)
- scientific publications in data fusion or tracking algorithms
- experience with AI/ML in engineering data or automation
- validation using simulated trajectories / synthetic datasets
- mathematical modelling and statistical analysis of tracking systems
- C++ test automation and integration testing (GTest or equivalent)
