DevOps Engineer (42599)

Are you an expert in automation looking for a greenfield challenge? We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to join an international team of our client working on a high-impact project. You will manage the entire CI/CD lifecycle and IaC approaches for a product serving 30 million customers. We require 3+ years of experience, expertise in GitLab pipelines, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus. You should also be proficient in Golang and at least one major cloud platform. 

🚀 Project
- responsibility for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches
- definition of automated configuration management, release management, build, test and deployment activities
- provision of prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology
- development of greenfield software for a major project within the Deutsche Telekom Group
- support of end-to-end processes for fiber pre-ordering, ordering, installation, and service management
- implementation of Cloud Native Principles and ensuring microservices fulfill requirements like Graceful Shutdown or Rolling Updates
- conducting Production Readiness Checks and serving as the primary contact for team services
- problem management with a focus on availability, stability, and performance of microservices
- collaboration within a Scrum team using the SAFe framework

🎯 Skills
- 3+ years of work experience as a DevOps engineer
- expert knowledge of Gitlab, especially in terms of (Deployment) Pipelines
- expert knowledge of Kubernetes
- expert knowledge of Monitoring/Logging Systems, preferably Grafana, Kibana, or Prometheus
- ability to implement and improve current monitoring solutions
- advanced knowledge of at least one Cloud Computing Service such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Open Telekom Cloud
- advanced knowledge of the Golang programming language
- basic knowledge of Gitops with ArgoCD
- skills in either development or testing to support a T-shaped team profile
- understanding of Kubernetes, helm, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and scripting languages like Python
- knowledge of Linux, Bash, network principles, and Webserver configuration/REST/API
- willingness to perform OnCall-Duty when necessary

💡 Nice to have
- knowledge in Infrastructure Automation frameworks like Terraform or ideally Pulumi
