VBA Developer (43598)

I am looking for an VBA Developer to support and enhance legacy business applications built in Excel, MS Access and VBA. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements in poorly documented environments. The role combines technical support, data analysis and hands-on development, with a strong focus on VBA-based solutions and legacy systems stability.

- gathering business requirements through workshops with business stakeholders and defining solution approaches
- creating queries, analyzing reports and evaluating applications
- collecting diagnostic information and performing troubleshooting and problem analysis
- discussing findings and proposed improvements with stakeholders
- implementing approved changes in existing applications
- contributing to testing of modified queries, reports and applications
- providing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions
- maintaining and enhancing existing Excel and MS Access applications (including VBA-based solutions)
- collaborating with business users to understand issues and propose practical solutions
- debugging and optimizing VBA code, queries and database structures
- documenting solutions and contributing to best practices and knowledge sharing
- working in poorly documented environments, including Dutch-language support scenarios

🎯 Skills
- strong hands-on VBA experience (critical requirement)
- experience with MS Excel and MS Access, with strong MS Access knowledge as an advantage
- understanding of relational databases and SQL
- experience with legacy systems and day-to-day application maintenance
- ability to work independently and troubleshoot within existing constraints (large datasets, limited documentation, legacy tools)
- Dutch language proficiency (required for complex troubleshooting in local environments)
- English proficiency
