Linux Admin (44210)

A long-term infrastructure project in Vienna has an open position for a Linux Admin who will take care of the central IAM and Identity Provider (IdP) platform. The role covers installation, configuration, operation and monitoring of IT systems, securing connections and system operation, troubleshooting and automated server provisioning with Ansible. Solid Linux (RHEL 7.x) knowledge, experience with virtualization and automation, log analysis and authentication systems such as Kerberos, SAML or ADFS, as well as German at C1 level are required.

🚀 Project
- planning, coordination and implementation of installation, configuration, operation and monitoring of IT systems
- administration of the central IAM and Identity Provider (IdP) infrastructure
- analysis and evaluation of internal and external data traffic, responsibility for secure connections
- analysing problems, isolating and correcting faulty conditions
- implementation of security measures protecting system operation against internal and external attacks
- support of system services with network and system management tools
- evaluation and preparation of new hardware and software solutions
- development of Ansible playbooks for automated provisioning of server software
- creation and maintenance of working and operational documentation
- long-term project in Vienna (11/2026 – 12/2027), hybrid with 60 % home office

🎯 Skills
- solid Linux knowledge (RHEL 7.x)
- good infrastructure knowledge and interest in acquiring further know-how
- experience operating server applications incl. operational quality assurance
- know-how in virtualization and automation techniques
- experience with performance and error analysis
- practice in evaluating log files (grep, awk, sed)
- work experience with authentication and authorization systems (Kerberos, SAML, ADFS)
- German C1
