Data Architect (40037)

I'm looking for a senior Data Architect to lead a Proof of Concept (POC) transforming one of key data marts into a modern star or snowflake schema. You'll analyze existing structures, design and implement the new schema, and evaluate its performance and scalability. This role is hands-on—covering data modeling, loading, testing, and presenting findings to stakeholders. You'll collaborate closely with data teams and shape the roadmap for a potential full migration of DWH. With 5+ years of experience in data modeling and deep SQL skills, you’ll drive real architectural change. Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a must. 🚀 Project
- perform the Proof of Concept (POC) for changing a specific data mart in our Data Warehouse to a star or snowflake schema
- analyzing the current data mart structure and identifying requirements for the new schema design
- designing and developing star/snowflake schema models suitable for the chosen data mart's needs
- implementing the proposed schema design for the POC, including data modeling and data loading
- defining and executing test cases to evaluate the performance, scalability, and usability of the new schema for the data mart
- providing architectural guidance and recommendations for a potential future migration of the entire data warehouse to a star/snowflake schema
- documenting the POC process, findings, recommendations, and best practices
- presenting POC results and recommendations to stakeholders
- collaborating with existing data teams to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer

🎯 Skills
- 5+ years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and database design
- proven experience designing and implementing star schema and/or snowflake schema in a data warehouse environment
- strong understanding of dimensional modeling concepts, fact tables, and dimension tables
- experience with data integration processes and tools
- proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation
- experience with a major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
