Quantum Engineer (44192)
Quantum algorithms on real hardware and practical AI/ML in one role? The Emerging Tech lab of a global advisory firm, which builds rapid prototypes and proofs of concept across AI, blockchain, IoT, robotics and now quantum computing, is looking for a Quantum Engineer. You will bring quantum competency into the lab – building demos and prototypes that help clients and internal teams decide how to invest in new technologies – and contribute to ongoing AI R&D through tooling and plugin development. Key are hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Qiskit, D-Wave Leap/Ocean), a deep understanding of quantum algorithms, strong Python and a grasp of ML/deep learning.
🚀 Project

- bringing quantum computing competency into the lab – demos and learnings for clients and internal teams
- contribution to ongoing AI R&D and firm-wide AI strategy through tooling and plugin development
- translating complex quantum concepts into business-relevant insights for non-technical stakeholders
- senior development team with a start-up atmosphere inside a large corporation
- contract CP for 12 months, practically full remote (occasional workshops in Prague), availability 10:00–18:00 CET
🎯 Skills
- hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms – IBM Qiskit, D-Wave Leap/Ocean or equivalent
- deep understanding of quantum algorithms – Shor's, Grover's, variational algorithms, QUBOs for optimisation
- solid grasp of quantum mechanics fundamentals – superposition, entanglement, error correction, gate-based systems
- strong Python programming skills with focus on computational efficiency
- understanding of ML/deep learning concepts and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
- 1+ year in quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography or quantum computing (2–5 years total experience)
- strong linear algebra and mathematical foundations
- English C1
đź’ˇ Nice to have
- published research in quantum algorithms or quantum applications in reputable journals
- experience with quantum NLP or quantum simulation
- practical ML/DL experience with Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow
- experience with C++ or Julia alongside Python
