- analyzing the current business capability in their relationship to supporting information system services and identify opportunities for an improved support of the business capability (in line with current IT strategy)
- describing the Scope of the target solution (e.g. explaining the future Business and Operating Model, business goals to be achieved, user satisfaction) and the need of urgency
- elaborating an implementation approach based upon results of feasibility study, capabilities & impact analysis and description of gaps
- elaborating decision material for senior management and stakeholders (e.g. Business Case, cost & effort estimation)
