DevOps Engineer (43749)

I’m looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. You’ll be working with GitLab CI/CD and API, Kubernetes, containers, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and automation. The role covers everything from automated repository onboarding and central configuration to performance tuning, observability, secure credential management and operational documentation. Strong experience with Renovate, GitLab, Kubernetes and IaC is key, together with solid scripting skills in Bash, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.

🚀 Project
- implementing and deploying a self-hosted Renovate environment, including containers, workers, and job orchestration
- automating repository discovery and onboarding via the GitLab API
- implementing central configuration presets and repository-specific extension mechanisms
- setting up monitoring, logging, alerting, and reporting dashboards covering coverage, throughput, and error rates
- tuning performance through parallelization, caching, rate-limit handling, and error handling
- integrating artifact registries and secure credential stores
- preparing operational documentation and runbooks
- supporting development teams during the rollout

🎯 Skills
- solid experience as a DevOps, Platform or Automation Engineer
- very good knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and the GitLab API
- practical experience with containers, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code, such as OpenTofu and Helm
- good scripting and programming skills, for example Bash, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- experience with monitoring and observability, ideally with New Relic
- knowledge of secrets management, such as Vault, and package/container registries
- experience with Renovate
- independent and structured approach to work with an automation-oriented mindset
- good spoken English
