Supply Chain Engineer (42375)

I am looking for a Supply Chain Engineer to design and optimize logistics flows and packaging solutions in a manufacturing environment. You will work on internal, inbound, and outbound flows, calculate capacities, and define efficient logistics models. A key part of the role is developing packaging concepts, creating technical specifications, and collaborating with suppliers. You will also work with 3D/CAD data to assess parts and define suitable packaging. I expect experience in launch logistics, strong analytical skills, and communicative English. Automotive experience or German is an advantage.

🚀 Project
- design and optimization of internal, inbound, and outbound material flows within the plant
- definition of logistics processes in early project phases
- calculation of flow capacities, number of trolleys, boxes, containers, and required storage space
- design of packaging solutions for different stages of material and part flows
- creation of packaging specifications and technical requirements for suppliers
- collaboration with suppliers on development and fine-tuning of packaging solutions
- evaluation of product protection during handling and transportation
- design of solutions with focus on efficiency, packing density, surface protection, and material availability
- working with 3D/CAD data to assess parts and define suitable packaging
- support of projects for German team after initial onboarding

🎯 Skills
- practical experience in development / launch logistics
- experience with designing new logistics processes and flows (not only serial operations)
- experience with design of internal, inbound, and outbound logistics flows
- ability to calculate logistics models (capacity, buffers, packaging units, space, flow frequency, lead times, efficiency)
- strong analytical thinking and ability to design efficient processes
- experience with design or development of packaging solutions (trolleys, containers, boxes, protective packaging)
- experience with technical specifications for packaging and supplier requirements
- mechanical engineering mindset and understanding of packaging functionality in operations
- strong Excel skills (flow modeling, capacity calculations, scenario comparison)
- ability to work with 3D/CAD data (JT, Catia or similar)
- ability to understand part geometry and define suitable packaging solutions
- communicative English and ability to work in an international environment
