Java Developer (22184)

Do you have an active approach to problem solving and interest in developing long-term maintained and operated solutions? I’m looking for a truly experienced Java Developer with a passion for development. As a contractor via CoolPeople you will become a part of a great team that is developing new solutions in AWS and migrating existing work from an on-prem environment into AWS. The work covers a gambit of data-focused topics, including analytics, validation, reporting and compliance. About the role

- the work is developing new solutions in AWS, migrating existing work from an on-

  prem environment into AWS

- the work covers a gambit of data-focused topics, including analytics, validation, 

  reporting, and compliance

- some of the work is in highly parallel, near-real-time processing environments

- the work should involve new, interesting technology (such as EMR), following an agile 

  development process

Your ideal profile

- good knowledge of data structures

- knowledge of the difference between parallel versus serial coding

- awareness of threading, structured programming, object-oriented / methods, pipeline / workflow methods

- senior Java coding skills (including file i/o, jdbc)

- good knowledge of simple SQL (different variety of joins, aggregations, data I/O),

   open source DB (mysql, postgresql)

- knowledge of AWS (S3, EC2, IAM, basic AWS security and networking, RDS

Nice to have 

- experience with EMR, EKS, KMS

- knowledge of streaming technologies including Kafka and Flink

- good knowledge of Spring
