MCP Engineer (41479)

I am looking for an MCP Engineer with strong Python and async programming experience to design and build backend services based on the FastMCP framework. The role focuses on building reliable MCP servers, secure REST APIs and distributed, event-driven systems. You will work with Redis, containerized environments and modern authentication standards. 🚀 Project 
- design, build and maintenance of an MCP server using the FastMCP framework with focus on performance, reliability and maintainability
- implementation and extension of agentic workflow orchestration systems
- design of state management, event-driven architectures and webhook integrations
- development of clean, well-documented python code following async best practices
- design, implementation and maintenance of REST APIs
- definition of proper endpoint design, error handling and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
- implementation of security features including authentication and authorization
- integration of JWT validation and OAuth2 with Azure Entra ID
- use of Redis for distributed state persistence, caching and TTL-based data handling
- building and maintaining unit, integration and end-to-end test suites
- containerization of applications using Docker and docker-compose
- troubleshooting and debugging across distributed system components
- collaboration with cross-functional teams from design through production

🎯 Skills
- strong Python skills with proficiency in async/await patterns
- solid experience with FastMCP, FastAPI and REST API development
- experience with Swagger/OpenAPI specification and documentation
- experience with relational databases (SQL)
- hands-on experience with Redis or similar key-value stores
- knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms
- experience with JWT token handling and validation
- understanding of OAuth2 flows
- experience with Azure Entra ID and SSO integration
- familiarity with distributed systems concepts and event-driven architecture
- experience with containerization using Docker
- understanding of cloud and DevOps fundamentals in Azure
- strong problem-solving skills and clear communication
- ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

💡 Nice to have
- experience with AI / LLM agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, Langfuse)
- familiarity with Azure CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
- knowledge of Datadog or similar observability platforms
- prior exposure to “vibe” coding practices
